Workshop: Second in the series by Keri Lara. "Understanding the Tools to Creating a Successful Life for a Person with Autism". To include applying for SSI, waivers and the new changes to service programs on Saturday November 16th at the North Columbus Library from 1:30 -3:30 pm. Parking is limited, please park next door at Britt David School and across the street from the school in Britt David Park.
Workshop: “Creating a Life Long Plan from Childhood through Adult” By Keri Lara
To create a successful lifelong plan for your child you must first understand the basics.
Learn how to:
1. Create a plan of care
2. Follow guidelines to get support

Keri Lara is a former nurse with 25 years of experience working in social service systems. She has worked in elder care and early childhood education. Ms. Lara is also the co-author of several guides to services with staff from the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities.

Game Night is every second Thursday of the month from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at North Highland Church 7300 Whittlesley Boulevard. All teens and young adults with autism are welcome to attend. The next meeting is November 14th. By popular demand we are bringing back "Paint the Pumpkin"
Sensory Sensitive Screening
Since there will be no previews, the movies will start right at 11:00 AM ; please arrive 15 minutes early.
Special features will include leaving the lights on low, turning down the sound and throwing out the “no noise” restriction. Families may bring in their own special dietary food or purchase from the concession stand. To participate in this program you must register for a special movie card to get the discounted tickets ($5 per person). All family members are welcome. You can submit the form below and pick up your card the first time you come to the movies. Keep the card to use for any of the monthly screenings.
